Calanthe keshabii - Pink East-Himalayan Calanthe

Pink East-Himalayan Calanthe is an orchid 17-30 cm tall. Leaves are 3-4, unequal eliptic lanceshaped pointed, stalked 18-25.5 x 5-7.5 cm, leaf-stalk 6-9 cm long. Flowers are borne in 4-flowered clusters, carried on flower-cluster-stalk 14-25.5 cm long. Flowers are pendant, 2-3.5 cm across, pink to whitish purple, flower-stalk 1.2-2cm long. Sepals are almost equal, elliptic slightly concave tapering, 5-veined spreading. Dorsal sepal 1.4-1.8 x 0.5-0.8 cm; lateral sepals curved 1.9-2 x 0.7-0.3 cm. Petals are linear oblong involute somewhat pointed 1.4-1.5 x 0.2 cm. Lip is shortly clawed 3-lobed spurred 1.1-1.4 x 0.8-1.1cm, lateral lobes curved oblong blunt, porrect mid lobe narrowly 2 lobulate margins deeply fringed disc with 2 shallow longitudinal calluses spur 1.2-1.4 cm long. Pink East-Himalayan Calanthe is found in E. Himalaya.
